Bake With Yen @ Ipoh

Bakery supplies chain store Bake With Yen has finally arrived in Ipoh. It's a breath of relief for bakers in Ipoh and surrounding areas. No longer do we have to tolerate the lousy customer service at the one in town not neither do we have to fork out more at other shops in Ipoh Garden.

Located in a rather quiet area with ample parking, it's not hard to find. If you know where YMCA is, it's just at the few row of shops nearby, on the other side of Kinta river.

Inside it looks like this. Quite a big area but ingredients and utensils seem less in choices compared to the branches in Klang Valley. Or maybe they haven't restock after Raya. Mooncake moulds were very limited in designs. As it is only 2 weeks away only, people have already flocked here to get theirs.

Now price wise... I'll show you some pics and you decide for yourself.

I haven't been shopping in the Klang Valley for a while, so I'm not very updated with the pricing. But you can see for yourself here.

The address of Bake With Yen Ipoh is

Lot 1
Commercial Complex at Centro,
Jalan Medan Istana 5,
Bandar Ipoh Raya,
Ipoh, Perak

So big and spacious! I wish they would open a big outlet here too because their shop at Taman Megah is so small and so crowded :(

Hi, this is a big mart for bakery shopping. Much bigger than those in Klang. I can see the pics of butter. I can say it's worth it, not too expensive compared to those sell in Tesco or Giant. Just last week I went to Tesco to buy rice, we walk by these fridge area and quickly grab 3 blocks of Anchor unsalted butter. It cost me 8.99 a block. Few days later, I went to bakery shop to get something and saw the same butter cost only 5.70 a block. And, I hit my head 2X.

Jessie,
It is a lot cheaper.
Tatura cost around RM8.99 per block and SCS 250gm is RM11.30 per block in hypermarkets.
Pay slightly extra and get a 500gm block.
