Krabi Trip 2015 - Things we did~ Massage
Thai massage.... it's good and relaxing.
My maiden Thai Massage.
Actually I planned to have it on the second day... but since we had time to kill on the first day before we can check in, and since we were already at McDonalds for lunch, why not cross the street to Atta-rak for a nice time of pampering.
The signboard is quite elusive, it's only easily seen if you walk from the beach, not towards the beach. And it's really opposite McD.
Served welcoming tea.... it's pandan tea. Nice and cold. With a half frozen towel to cool off after all the walking.
Washed our feet with turmeric salt and changed .... fully clothed in light cotton wear.
I didn't shoot the massage room, but there were only 2 of us in the room for 3.
The massage ladies didn't talk to each other, unless necessary. They didn't use their full force on us, and was mild.... as I was yelping a bit as she stretched me. Well... can't blame me, as it's my first time ma.....
It was nice but I didn't feel 'all bones loose' like how my mom and friends told me about their Thai massage experience.
We paid THB450 each, I took 1.5 hours Thai massage and he took 1 hour Thai massage and 30 mins foot massage. On the menu, it was THB500 and the lady gave us a discount. My dear said, the next day, he could walk and walk and not feel tired, unlike his usual self and credited the massage for this effect.
After the massage, there's another round of tea, this time, it's warm herbal tea
Other places were offering as low as THB200 per hour during this low season (June) but their place lacked privacy. When you walk along the streets in Ao Nang, lots of touts will come and ask for "Massas, massas".... "cheep massas". It's up to you to decide.
It's actually cheaper to get massages in Ao Nang than Krabi town due to competition. I've asked around in Krabi and the cheapest we got was THB400/hour. So, didn't go for it.
